Thomas Cook, CEO, Managing Director

Tom was former CEO of American River International in New York and Apex Global Logistics Supply Chain Operation in Los Angeles.   Tom has over 30 years’ experience in assisting companies all over the world manage their import and export operations. 

 

He is a member of the NY District Export Council, sits on the board of numerous corporations and is considered a leader in the business verticals he works in.


He has now authored over 19 books on Global Trade and is in the middle of an eight book series, titled "The Global Warrior; Advancing on the Necessary Skill Sets to Compete Effectively in Global Trade".

Tom is also the Director of the National Institute of world trade (niwt.org) a 30-year-old educational and training organization.


Kelly Raia, VP, Managing Director

Kelly is a licensed customhouse broker and trade compliance specialist working for numerous companies assisting them in managing their import and export trade activities.  

Kelly was formerly a Vice President at American River International. She is also involved with numerous companies as their “outsourced” Trade Compliance Manager.


Kelly is a specialist in both import and export compliance, logistics and supply chain management. Many companies depend upon her expertise in facilitating their export sales or import purchasing.  Kelly is a frequent lecturer on compliance and logistics and is a published author. 

James Martin, Senior Managing Consultant

Throughout his career, James has worked tirelessly towards advancing the benefits of supply chain professionals and their impact on organizations. Jim’s expertise extends to global supply chain, sourcing, purchasing, sales, operations and general management bringing his experience as a senior managing consultant to Blue Tiger International.


In supply chain, he worked for News Corporation as Senior Director of Global Sourcing, American Express as Senior Manager of Global Procurement, and AIG.  On the sales side, James spent part of his career at American Express as a Director of Account Development supporting numerous Fortune 500 companies.   James was Vice President of Business Development for International Diversified Products, a US-based company specializing in sourcing and manufacturing in China. 


He is past president of the Institute for Supply Management – New York, Inc. and former Chair of the Institute for Supply Management Global Group.  In 2009, the ISM-New York awarded him the distinguished J.H. Leonard Award for outstanding contributions to supply chain efforts. 

Diane Martin, Director of Client Relations

Diane is Director of Client Relations and joined the Blue Tiger team with years of client and customer-based experience.  

Formally the Executive Director of ISM-New York, a progressive, nonprofit association that exists to educate, develop and advance the purchasing and supply management profession.  As Executive Director she streamlined and modernized their association even overseeing their centennial celebrations and helped the New York affiliate earn for two consecutive years Affiliate Excellence awards.

Diane is a longtime volunteer, both locally and nationally, supporting organizations which help with research and funding for children's cancer, veteran affairs, scholarship, and women's causes.  
 

In all of these roles and areas Diane has often been considered a pro-active thinker with excellent leadership qualities and sought after for her commitment and dedication.
